SUFFOLK PUNCH HORSES – Rare Breeds
The Suffolk Punch horse has a long and settled history as a draft creature of English starting point. Arthur Young, one of the most punctual authors on British domesticated animals, and who himself originated from Suffolk, was the first to allude, in 1771, to the territory’s ‘respectable type of stallions’, as a particular breed. He noticed that even in his youth the Suffolk was alluded to as ‘The Old Breed.’ It is more likely than not the most seasoned existing unadulterated type of draft steed to have begun in England.
